And the closer I get to BS 5 and T2 Pulses, the more I feel that everything is balanced properly. When the rest of the people get Amarr trained up, we will have achieved a perfect balance. And then it will get nerfed into non-existence.
Therefore, train Amarr now and cast your vote to make Amarr obsolete.
I trained Amarr back when they sucked and before they announced they were being boosted. I started training Minmatar after I finished Amarr, and now they are being boosted. I don't know if I'm psychic or I just make really bad decisions.

Originally by: Uncle Smokey ECM is quite a distant example for this, it does'nt even have to compete for sensor points with other EW, does it now?
There is an interesting idea. Make sensor strength affect NOS, webs, painters, damps, ect. Probably impractical and near impossible to balance though.

Originally by: Uncle Smokey That reply doesn't really make but half sense, since the resistance module does not have to compete with the rest of the tank; its simply part of it. Armor is obviously better for this.
The only connection is that people have actually fit ECCM at times, since the drones became a considerable threat.
Sorry, the idea only half makes sense because it was only half though out and horribly off topic.
I agree with you though about people complaining about the explosive hole in armor, though.

Are those graphs with or without the ammo range penalty applied to falloff?

Edited by: Luna Cii on 01/11/2009 00:33:53 If the range penalty applies to fall-off as well as optimal, projectile balance might be about right. It might also make the medium and long range ammo useful in ACs. If it doesn't apply to falloff, projectiles are probably over boosted and might have to be scaled back in the range department. Blasters need a boost either way. If you get a chance, Liang, can you do the same graphs but with the penalty applied to fall-off as well?
